The Future

One thing that I keep on listen is"We have no idea how world will look after 5 years? Things are messy and ... Things are unpredictable and uncertain like they have been never before."
What is the reason? Why... why, when the innovation is going at the fastest rate then ever in the entire human history , the future is so unpredictable. Why??
Is it because we are stunned by this unexpected growth in Information Technology?
Or is it because the Artificial Intelligence didn't achieved the anticipated growth and in future the dream of bots serving human doesn't seems to be achieved?
Or you agree with me that finally Facebook has made us dumb?
...
I don't think anyone of them can be solely responsible for it.
Well, does anyone else also think that we are running out of ideas to develop our future.
In the last 200 year's development in technology, we have fulfilled a large majority of dreams of the human race. We have gone to moon, we can fly and we have achieved a much higher standard of life. Recent development in computing and social networking have made it possible to connect to society even when they are far away, download music, share and watch videos.
And the ideas like living on moon, finding ET life or AI seems infeasible. And if we look at the graph showing development of such things(AI) in past few, we can't expect much development in the coming time.Though in next few years, we can expect a computer has computation several times the human mind, but I don't think that it would be capable of (leave it, it won't ever come close to) natural language processing.

So what is that which makes future unpredictable?
It is our lack of vision. Lack Of Vision About FUTURE. It's like as if we don't have plans for tomorrow. And it could be scary idea especially when we are growing so fast.
So, are we going to remember this 21st century as the time when lost the pace unexpectedly due to lack of ideas which could motivate human, and finally decided to improve what we have achieved rather than creating something new.

"Necessity is the mother of invention."

So I think it won't be wrong to conclude that most of progress in near future will be more focused towards improvement what we have achieved today. And new stuff like an flying machine or the video games won't be seen very often.

Feel free to express your opinions.
Thanks../>
